Yesterday was Memorial Day. We had a day of social media silence as silence and reflection seems the best response to a day made to memorialize the American soldiers who died serving their nation in both just and unjust wars. The day is not about judging the wars, but about remembering the lives lost to war as well as the family who lost their beloved kin. It should be a day to encourage more peace in the world rather than war as an answer. Perhaps one day Memorial Day will be a day to remember those lost in wars of the past when war is one day obsolete.
