Yesterday was Very hard day, Ive been trying to find the words to post this. I wont go into details so please dont ask. Yesterday afternoon while only a few feet away from me in a split second my little bean was bitten in the face by a dog. Not any of my dogs but a dog I know very well. This dog had never done anything like this before and bean wasnt doing anything to provoke the dog. I dont blame the dog I dont blame the owner,I dont blame my daughter or myself. This was one of those unfortunate it just happened. I would never deem this dog vicious or call it an attack. It was one of those things that snapped me back to reality real quick. Ive always enforced being extremely cautious around all animals, even our own, but even with all the teaching and the amount of experience my kids have with dogs, things like this can happen in literally the blink of an eye. All I can try to do is take what I can from this, never forget an animal is an animal no matter how much a part of your family they are. I am incredibly thankful it wasnt worse and my bean has been handling like a champ! When we got to the hospital, and hospital staff were worried she was in shock, but she was literally just that calm. She told me I never want to see that doggie again, but she was just scared which reassures me Ive taught her well and she wont be traumatized for life from this.
