Yesterday was a Very long day. Things started out very well in the morning, and was supposed to meet with one of the families for one of my moms Boston puppies. Hard to believe that is has already been 8 weeks, but they are heading for their new homes already. Everything was on track and we were very excited to finely meet Robert and his Mom to pick up Jack Sparrow. I got a call from Robert telling me he was leaving to come over and pick up Jack, as I was out feeding and cleaning for the morning and told Robert, that we would see them very soon and to have a safe trip. Little Jack got his bath and was siting in the crate all nice and clean waiting for his new Dad to come and pick him up. I knew that Lexys due day was coming up fast and it was time for her bath too so thought I would bring Lexy in and give her a nice bath and blow dry, so she was clean and fresh for the babies. All went along as I had planned with Lexy coming in and getting in the tub. She got in and was acting a bit like she was ready to get cooled off and jumped right in. Everything was going along wonderful. I got a text from Robert telling me they were going to have lunch ( they were on the road and heading our way and stopped to eat ) I put the phone down and was almost finished with Lexys bath and ready to start drying her when she did something I had never seen her do... She decided ( I thought at the time ) to pee in the tub ??? Hum, not like her at all. Well, I waited until she was done, thinking I was so glad that she did that in the tub and not on my floor. Then I asked her to exit the tub so I could dry her off. Upon starting to dry her.. she decided to squat one more time on the floor, and I said ... Lexy what are you doing ??? And OMG.. out came a BABY... NO WARNING at all ! Had no Clue she was even in Labor. She didnt show any signs of it what so ever.. except she was acting a little like she was warm and wanted a bath. Totally Un-prepared for what was happen ! Never seen anything like what happened with Lexy before with any of my dogs. Thank God I was home, I had to take my Mom to the Doctors the day before and her appointment was originally for yesterday and they changed it.. WHAT A DAY yesterday was. Robert came and Baby Jack went to his new home. Robert was very very happy to meet his new boy and had the chance to see a new Lexy puppy while he was here. I will post a Cell picture I took of the babies with this post.. I was totally not ready for their Arrival but Lexy did wonderful and she had 10 babies and all are doing well. You just never know what your day is going to turn out like sometimes :D
