Yesterday was a tough day, our sweet Anubis crossed the Rainbow Bridge. He was 20 years old and purred until the very end. I held him all day yesterday as he passed. Long ago, I was driving to work on a very busy road after a rainy night and saw a tiny kitten in the gutter. He was skinny, soaking wet and both his eyes and nose were completely sealed with mucus. The instant I held his tiny wet body next to mine for warmth he started purring and I became his. He was such a loveable cat, he slept with my son and rode in a doll buggy for our grandchildren and he loved it all - he loved life. This is the last photo of our old man. I love you, Anubis.
