Yesterday was a very difficult day for me! Tragic yet eye opening. 10:36 am I was in a meeting with a client at his office when one of his employees rushed in in tears and screaming, devastated to the news that he had just found out that his troubled 38 year old son had just committed suicide. This was a scene and feeling I had never experienced before... the deep sense of pain I felt stayed with me for the rest of the day. Later that day I went to see my Dad at the hospital for a minor outpatient surgery he had. While waiting for his recovery in the waiting area at 9:12 pm I witnessed a Dr. coming out of the operating room to deliver the news to a family that at this point the patient needed to be calm and at peace as he transitioned into death, there was nothing else they could do. As you could imagine that familys reaction! Again, experiencing something I had never been exposed to... and it moved me a lot. Like I said, yesterday was a difficult day, I witnessed two families deal with the unimaginable and as a result something in me has changed. It has really opened my eyes to how precious life is but most important how precious are those we love. Please be patient, be kind and enjoy your loved ones today.
