Yesterday was a very rewarding day. Still a bit under the weather, I was determined to help my friend Cindy. A nice man had donated this kennel for our cause. It can be a sad situation sometimes with the city ordinance when it comes to feral and homeless cats. This is one of them. A handful of kittys had to be trapped, and of course, fully vetted, but were not allowed to be returned. Euthanasia is not an option. Cindy found a new location out of our city where a nice lady agreed to take care of them. Accumulation is very important. Now these kittys not only have a building for food/water and protection. They have an outside area where they can check their surrounding out. Very important. This old kennel took some time. Frame up, chain fencing around, brackets, about 1000 zip ties, chicken wire top, secure it to building and put in doggie door. Thanks to my Husband for all his hard work and help, we now have a temporary safe haven for these kittys until its time to let them out. This is what its all about. We save lives of many cats. Hard work and heart breaking, but very rewarding too. This is why we do what we do. Next step, changing the city ordinance. TNR saves lives!!!!!!!
