Yesterday was a very sad day at Bark Park. We had a first-time boarder, a Pug named Grayson, staying with us, and when we returned for the afternoon shift Sunday afternoon (yesterday), we found Grayson had passed away in his kennel. In almost five years in business, we have never had a dog pass away while in our care. Ive been told that if you are in business long enough, it will inevitably happen, but that doesnt make it any easier to bear. The owner had told us that Grayson had respiratory problems (not uncommon with Pugs), and we took the necessary extra precautions with him according to the owners instructions. Grayson appeared to be fine when we left Sunday morning. So, finding him deceased when we returned in the afternoon was a shock, to say the least. SO hard! The owners, of course, are devastated, and they have our deepest condolences.
