Yesterday was an overwhelming, emotional and incredibly exciting day. It is difficult to articulate the honour and privilege that I feel to be handed the responsibility to represent the Liberal Party in my home riding. I am eternally grateful to my family, friends, campaign staff and all of the supporters of the two campaigns who came out yesterday to create an amazing atmosphere and really contribute to a very special day. I’d like to also thank Jennifer once again. Jennifer showed tremendous courage, class and composure throughout her campaign, and worked extremely hard to gain a lot of support. She pushed me and challenged me every day and I have no doubt she has enormous potential to continue to serve our community in the future. I am very excited to see what she does next, and I am sure she knows she will have my support! After taking a few days to relax, you will see us begin to transition in to preparation mode for the general election. In the coming weeks, we will begin assembling a bigger team that we will need to take on the general election. I hope you will continue to follow me here as I will keep updating with the progress we are making, as well as taking questions and discussing issues.. Again, I can’t thank you all enough, your support means the world to me and I promise I will work hard every single day to win this riding for the Liberal Party and for the people of South Shore-St. Margaret’s.
