Yesterday was another day filled with tough fights for me. Eventually going down by 2 points again in the final getting me Silver. My disappointment as a competitor was quickly overshadowed by the joys and jubilation of being a brother, uncle and coach! The family fought with passion, warrior spirit and most importantly class! Brandon Tong unfortunately went down to a monster a division above in the early rounds. Jason Tong fought his nemesis and 2x world champion going down in a close match by 2 advantages to get Bronze. Andrew Tong fought up a weight class, submitted his way to the final eventually going down by 1 point in a gruelling match to get Silver. My big brother Steven Tong didnt concede a point over the weekend and submitted all his opponents securing him the double GOLD again two times in a row at the Pan Pacific Championships! And last but not least a big thank you to Karen Tong for glueing us all together, keeping us all calm and putting up with all the fight talk for over 72 hours straight! And also a big shout out to Brendan James Dorr for coming for all the way down to support us.
