Yesterday was full of appointments, but by the end, it was all - TopicsExpress

Yesterday was full of appointments, but by the end, it was all worth it. Waylons curie score is now 5 and I couldnt be happier! Its just so amazing to know that in late January he was a 10, then before chemo began here, he was an 8 and after just one cycle of chemo hes a 5. What a great improvement. I am so hopeful that we will continue to see major improvements and that Waylon will be cancer free one day. I found out yesterday that Waylon does need to have bifocals as a result of the antibodies, so we will go to the offsite location today to get his glasses. Its so crazy that my 5 year old is getting bifocals before me...even getting glasses before me! Although I have notice that my eye sight is declining, so whenever things slow down I will find an eye doctor here to get my eyes checked. While at the dentist yesterday we were told that Waylon will need to have 4, possibly 8, of his back teeth crowned. The dentist, who is also onsite at the St. Jude campus will coordinate with his doctor to schedule the surgery. It can only be done when his counts are good, so I suspect it wont happen until late April. I had more blood drawn this morning in preparation of being Waylons NK cells donor. Before leaving the nurse let Waylon pick out a toy from the treasure chest because of my poke. Geez, that sure doesnt seem fair...ha. Yesterday, I woke up feeling horrible and after talking with the nurse this morning I think its allergies. She gave me suggestions on what to take, so Ill be going to the store after we get Waylons glasses. Waylon will be admitted tonight at 8pm to begin chemo tomorrow. The first dose of antibodies will be given on Saturday. On April 2nd, my NK cells will be extracted and on April 3rd they will be given to Waylon. Thank you for your continued prayers and support! Love, Stacy
