Yesterday was one of those days when life just hands you a moment that feels like its got a big huge lovely bow on it, you know, the kind of bow where you only have to tug ever so gently on one ribbon and it magically unwraps right before your eyes and you cant even believe what youre looking at? My present happened at Stephanies doctors appointment. Stephanie very kindly and graciously invited Kathy and me to join her for her weekly appointment which included an ultrasound. It was Grandmas to be day!! :-) Im happy to report that our little granddaughter has grown a whopping pound and a half since the last ultrasound 10 days ago and is weighing in at an estimated 6.9 lbs!! Yeah!! We all listened intently to those melodic beats of her heart and reaffirmed that yes, she looks as if shes got a head full of hair. We had the pleasure of meeting the lovely doctor Stephanie was examined by yesterday and the doc was extremely pleased with both Stephanie AND the baby. Im pretty sure I was smiling straight on for the entire appointment. Wonderful happy blessed news, indeed! Later in the afternoon I enjoyed listening to a literal round table discussion regarding current events over tacos and nachos. One thing I know for a fact - I named Justin well almost 28 years ago - his sense of justice, compassion and understanding knocks me over and makes me extremely proud. He and Stephanie make a pretty wonderful pair. Thank you Stephanie for allowing me to be present at yesterdays appointment - it was truly an amazing experience and exquisite gift.
