Yesterday was quite a day in the City of Clinton. The President - TopicsExpress

Yesterday was quite a day in the City of Clinton. The President came and recognized the accomplishments we have made and announced plans for a manufacturing innovation. I am Honored that I was given the opportunity to be in attendance at his speech at Pellissippi State. I, however choose to send 2 people from the radio station so that they could provide the information for all of the coverage we provided yesterday. Jim Harris and Jenn Clabo did a great job. I was live on the air for 10 hours straight yesterday. I hope East TN enjoyed our coverage . I am very disappointed that our County Mayor and our Congressman chuck fleischmann did not attend. Our Clinton City Mayor Scott Burton went. Although he, like me, do not approve of the Presidents politics and actions. However, it was more important to represent the City than to express his personal opinion at the expense of those he represents . I am growing very very tired of elected officials using their office to express personal opinion. We are the people you are supposed to represent. I hope that in the future our representatives will think of us instead of themselves. I try to do that with my business and co workers. And as those who know me understand, I am not afraid to run for public office. I however prefer that those we have put in the position do the job. Set aside personal agendas, personal differences, suck it up, and leave your County, State, district, or Country in better shape than when you took office. It is called SERVING for a reason. Its is supposed to be selfless, not self centered!
