Yesterday was the day of "barfi". Anurag Basu became a most popular Director of Hindi cenema for the year 2012. Barfi got most popular film for 2012, Best actor Ranvir Kapoor, Best actress Priyanka Chopra. I have never seen any movie of Anurag Basu. Just I came to know him about yesterday. One of his most popular film was Murder. But I have not seen. Very very Most important thing : Anurag Basu was diagnosed with acute leukemia in 2004 when he was halfway through his film Tumsa Nahin Dekha. He was immediately hospitalised; his doctors announced that he had two months to live. Basu even directed parts of the film from his hospital bed as shooting could not be canceled. To complete the film, he gave instructions on a dictaphone, talking about camera angles and the script. Mahesh Bhatt and Mohit Suri finished the film later. Basu underwent chemotherapy and was on medication for three years. Yesterday on sony channel the film "barfi "got TOIFA (Time of India Film Award) prizes for best Director, best actor, best actress, best popular film of the year. If I will get the opportunity I will not forget to see the Anurag Directed films most particularly "barfi". Anurag Basu, although is a Bengali but he is from Bhilai, Chattishgarh a distinct personality of my country.
