Yesterday was the day of the RSPCA Bolton branch annual Doggy - TopicsExpress

Yesterday was the day of the RSPCA Bolton branch annual Doggy Mixtures Show where our Bolton nurse, Sarah, had a stall of her own inserting RSPCA microchips and offering general advice which was greatly appreciated by the crowds. Sarah was kindly assisted by Rebecca who has been seeing Practice here at our Bolton surgery for a while now and is soon to attend Myerscough College to train to become a Veterinary Nurse. Rosanne (Bolton Client Care Manager) and Neil (Veterinary Surgeon) were there in the capacity of show judges and had the pleasure to crown a stunning German Shepherd Dog as most handsome male dog and a super cute Shih Tzu as cutest puppy. This was not an easy task as every dog there was unique and very special to their owners, but in our eyes they were all winners to begin with as they were obviously all loved very much and were impeccably behaved - a total credit to their proud owners!! There were lots of young handlers this year which was lovely to see. There is no better time to start learning how to care and be responsible for your pet and this will stand a youngster in good stead for the future, so well done to the boys and girls who showed their dogs yesterday! Doggy Mixtures is a very apt name for this RSPCA event as there was an abundance of breeds there yesterday including quite a few Great Danes, whippets, Husky’s, Cavaliers and German Shepherd dogs, and also there was a beautiful Briard who Rosanne and Neil placed in the most handsome dog category. Quite a few of our clients were there too and it was so lovely to see them in a more social setting. The weather was ideal as it didnt rain and it was just the right temperature for the dogs who all seemed happy and healthy. All in all this was an excellent fun day, as it always is, and for a very worthy cause and we look forward to doing it all again next year!!! With love, Sarah, Rosanne and Neil. xxx
