Yesterday was the last day of my college classes. I always show - TopicsExpress

Yesterday was the last day of my college classes. I always show them the commencement address that Steve Jobs gave at Stanford University. It left a profound impact on me because he talks about following your passion. He says lifes too short to live someone elses dream. I encourage my students to figure out how to make a living doing what they love. At the end of every day I sit down and take an inventory of how the day went. Im blessed because I dont have too many bad days. Even with all the storms Ive encountered this year, I consider myself blessed beyond what I deserve. My work isnt work because I love what I do. Politics and history is one of my passions. When Im not at work, Im either with my family or with my church family. Ive simplified my life to the things that matter. I dont want to be like Solomon who at the end of his journey said his life was meaningless because he had spent a great amount of it chasing the wind. Dont spend your time chasing the wind. Spend them on eternal things. In the end, they are the only things that matters. Thanks for listening. Be blessed.
