Yesterday we also lost a great father, Christian, grandfather, husband, son, father in-law and friend yesterday afternoon at 58 years old. My wife’s father Steve TenDolle fought a courageous fight against cancer for the last year and yesterday God grabbed his hand and said come home son and be with me. He received his wings and is no longer in pain for which we are grateful to our lord for ending his suffering. He never complained, asked for sympathy and worked everyday until a week and a half ago when he took vacation for the holidays. He was to have retired this Friday! He is no enjoying the best retirement ever in heaven with our Lord and savior! We spent Christmas with him and the entire family last week in Wisconsin and I believe he wanted one last Christmas for our girls who are his first grandchildren. He adored them and they adored him in return. This Christmas was magical for all of us and was awesome to have one last one. We did not see his passing so soon but happy he is no longer in any pain, which was increasing. He may be the toughest person I have ever known. It is tough to write this due to the tears but today I am blessed to have had Steve as my father in-law, friend and a father figure to me since my fathers passing 10 years ago. I never told him but hoped he knew. He lived by example, ask for nothing ,take only what you need and be happy with what you have. Nothing more! We spend so much time on want but he did not live that way and he enjoyed everything to it’s fullest Thank you Steve for allowing me to take your daughters hand in marriage and for trusting me to take care of her as you would. THANK YOU STEVE! Please say a prayer for our family as they deal with a great loss for the family. Rest in peace Steve, Grandpa and friend!
