Yesterday we had a dialysis insertion for Carol to relieve any - TopicsExpress

Yesterday we had a dialysis insertion for Carol to relieve any fluid buildup in her abdomen to relieve resulting pain. I mention this because Dr. Rex at Riverview performed it and in discussion with him, he disclosed to me that he lost his dear wife three years ago to cancer. He is a young man with three young children and his grief was evident. He obviously knows Jesus and we had a nice talk together. He had the time since it was late in the day. We agreed that our mutual faith was, is and will sustain us. I told him how sorry I was for him and that his grief was far more than mine and how I would pray for him. I encouraged him that as a young man and a surgeon to continue to do wonderful things for the Kingdom. I asked him to contact me anytime as an older man for encouragement when the load seemed to be heavy. The delay in having the surgery now seemed to be so evident. I was asking Jesus earlier in the day why this was occurring and adding to Carols discomfort and He answered my prayer in a most amazing way. We wouldnt have been able to comfort each other if it had been earlier and we would have missed knowing each other as brothers in the Lord. Carol was also encouraged and comforted when I told her and she later was able to discuss with Dr. Rex a bit. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 2 Cor. 1:3 &4. God is so awesome. I feel so much pain for those who dont know him. Pray for Dr. Rex.
