Yesterday, we held a surprise party for one of our awesome riders, Claire McFarlane, whose birthday is on Monday. Naturally, she cried. And nearing the end of the evening, I was presented with a new bike seat to replace the one that was stolen recently. I had put over 10,000 km on the original, and it really got me down to lose it.. But this new bike seat has meant so much to me already. It was a gesture that truly moved me. This team is knit together in a way I cant explain, that maybe I dont totally understand, but Im so grateful for. Everyone (except Danny Awesome, you jerk) chipped in for this seat. The party was a group effort to celebrate one of our own. We come together for Mohammed Yassin and his phenomenal music. Ansherine So and Sarah Kotsopoulos are riding on the regular now, David Kryszajtys, Kyle Widomski and Martin Brindley attend guys night together, Hannah Marie Markham met Jonny X Teigesser and theyre great friends now, Margarita Brighton is more fly than ever. Phil No wants to be more involved and keep learning, Lavinia Tea kicking ass.. The list goes on and on for how we all move one another. I need people to know how proud I am of our team, how they inspire me, how they move me. I feel our slogan ringing true more every time I see these folks: The only way to get there is together. I cant wait to see where well get to. So thank you. Thank you all, so much, and for more reasons than I can count.
