Yesterday we served 178 people through Safe Harbor in the short hour and a half that we are open to the community. This is our highest number served for 2013! One of these families included a grandmother who had just taken in her three grandchildren as a kinship foster placement. Because of generous donations, we were able to provide her with sheets and warm blankets for these precious children. Each week we have requests for blankets. With winter approaching, we would love to have our shelves overflowing with blankets so that we will always have a blanket to give to a family that needs one. Could you help us stock our shelves with blankets? One of our donors let us know they found new blankets at Wal-Mart for 5 and 10 dollars. Please add blanket to your black Friday shopping list this year and help us help those in need who come to Safe Harbor. Please share this status to spread the word of our need for blankets.
