Yesterday we visited the Malancha-Sarberia area and were surprised to find a few Little Terns as well as a Caspian Tern in the area. Little Terns are considered rare so far inland in our area. Other species seen included Black-tailed Godwits, Marsh and Wood Sandpipers, Spotted Redshank, Little Stints, Brown-headed Gull, Whiskered Tern, Black-winged Stilts, Ruff, snipe, pacific Golden Plover, a lone Northern Pintail, and the usual commoner species.
