Yesterday, we went to the fabricators facility to lay out the templates on the slab. Alex from Mondial in Brooklyn looked at this giant piece of Calacatta and knew exactly how to place the templates for the cuts. It was like watching an artist work - witnessing a master who sees the final product in a rough piece of stone. It was inspiring, exciting, and also a relief, since we hadnt seen the slab since we made the final choice. I will definitely want to wake up every morning, walk into the kitchen, and hug it. :) And within a couple of weeks will be in!
