Yesterday would have been Robert Kennedy’s 88th birthday. Today was the 30 annual Human Rights Award Ceremony, by the RFK Center for Justice & Human Rights, in the historic Kennedy Caucus room of the Russell Senate Office Building. By recognizing the personal courage and fundamental impact of human rights warriors around the world, the Center not only celebrates their work, but partners with them on the ground, and provides an international spotlight that offers some additional protection to those often laboring in opposition to their country’s rulers.
