Yesterdays qualifying in the 4WD buggy class at round #2 of the - TopicsExpress

Yesterdays qualifying in the 4WD buggy class at round #2 of the Swedish Cup went pretty well.....eventually ;-) Seeing how fast I was on Saturday in 2WD and with my XB4 feeling quite good in the practice heats in the morning I felt quite good coming into the qualifiers. Qualifier 1: Came off to a great start and was swapping positions with 2nd and 3rd place when I hit a pipe on lap 7 and popped off a steering link and had to retire from the heat when in 3rd position. This would have earned me a 4th or 5th for the 1st qualifying round. But instead I got a 31st :-( Qualifier 2: As the track got more and more rutted we made some small adjustments to my buggy ahead of the 2nd qualifying heat. I set an okay pace from the start and was in 4th but my XB4 felt more nervous and was a lot more difficult to jump. So after a couple of mistakes I decided to take it a bit slower and focus on finishing the heat. Ended up in 6th place in my heat and 12th for the round. Not happy at all as I felt I could have gone much faster but at least I got a decent result. Qualifier 3: This time we went almost back to the original setup from the morning with only a few small tweaks to oils/pistons and wheelbase. This time it worked much better on the increasingly rutted track and I managed a 3rd in my heat and 5th overall even though I was holding back and focusing on driving safe :-) Qualifier 4: Now with a hope of an A-final start I was actually a bit nervous ahead of the final, and for me deciding, round of qualifying. I knew I had to make a top 6-7 run to make it into the A-final. I took it slow from the start and tried to find my rythm when I made a mistake on the main jump and lost several seconds. For the rest of the heat I then decided to try running as safe as possible and lost a couple of positions but I still got a 5th in my heat and a 5th for the round. This was enough to secure me a spot in the A-final in 8th position. A bit further back in the starting field than I had hoped for but still very happy to have secured the A-final spot once again with my XB4 4WD :-D #Xray #Hudy #OrcaRC #SweepRacing #Antrade #YeahRacing #rcmart #Freqeskinz #malin7777777 HUDY ORCA D,A,CH -> by AME Sweep Racing Antrade Yeah Racing rcMart FreqEsKinz Xray Racing Cars
