Yesterdays service for you Grandpa was a testament of the love and influence you had for your family. I hope you looked on from heaven with that proud grin you have. Pattis heartfelt eulogy gave all a look at your life and legacy.... 40 direct descendants with now we know 10 of them named after you.... so many more indirect ones that you loved as you own flesh and blood.... Tom and his friend playing the banjo with Deb and Katelyn singing Wayfaring Stranger was incredible and I know you felt the dedication that cam from that awesome performance. Andy, Robin, Chris, Hannah, Russell and Kelly sang Gods prayer impeccably and didnt even need the music that faded in and out (was that you?). And Tammys poem was written from Love and shared from her heart. Father Craig talked of you as his friend who you have touched with your kind and gentle ways. You had a hand in the entire service for you and Nana (Joe and Eileen) done a mighty fine job. Your eldest son was honored to escort Mom. And the poster board that Lori made which visually captured your life on this earth was a tribute to you. The reception afterwards continued to reflect your familys God-Given gifts as the food was made with loving hands and hearts by Kathy and Patti and their children who gathered in Kathys kitchen for a day of baking. Amanda Meuse also spent the day baking as she was unable to attend but felt your love to make the day special and contribute. Hannahs breathtaking picture slide show helped everyone ease their pain and bring to mind you with your amazing friends and family who all adored you. Many times you heard the pride when your family announced their place as the oldest or youngest grandchild or great grandchild and where they all fit in to our family. The beautiful flower arrangements were put together by Robin and Hannah with admiration of you. The friends that helped set up the hall and all your childrens in-laws came to pay their respects to such a great guy further shows the impact you had during your years with us. Your family traveled near (down the street) and far (all over the country) to be present for you are one LOVED man. As a Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Uncle, Friend and Man you are truly loved and honored and I do not think there is a question about it that your legacy will run on and on.... Rest in peace sweet Joe....
