Yesterdays trip on the ski... Started off with glassy conditions (as per previous post)... Came across a few big work ups of kahawai on the way out wide, had a bit of a play throwing in a few softbaits just for a bit of fun, made my out out wide, came across another seal doing its thing before what seemed out of nowhere it got VERY windy and sloppy, had waves breaking over the front of the ski while I was fishing and was having trouble holding over the fish sign on the sounder so gave up and decided to head in a bit closer and tuck out of the wind to do some sightseeing around Mayor... Ive never really been in close and been a tourist (usually too busy fishing!), took the ski right into a little cave just because I could - it was pretty cool in there! After having a bit of a rest from being bashed around, I decided to brave the snot and head back in to shore... it was still pretty calm in closer so I got the softbaits out again, managed a few fish and a bit of a feed but nothing to rave about before the wind made its way in closer and I had to make my way in... so all in all a pretty quiet day on the fish front and as usual, still good to get out there!
