Yet again the X Factor single is number one at Xmas. 2 things, one for fans and one for music fans. 1 X Factor fans, can you remember a single X Factor Xmas number one from previous years? I can remember a couple because they were abysmal karaoke murders of good songs. The best singers never win, so they can get a Xmas hit out of a loser, then a career out of someone theyve binned a few weeks back and started working on the album ready for the new year. Can you remember Xmas number ones pre Simon Cowell? Yeah I thought so. Dont be conned, dont buy em. Buy a charity single if you must. 2 Music fans, JON MORTER fought an amazing grassroots campaign, and was victorious by the skin of his teeth. Im not a Rage fan, but I bought it to help make a point. Every year now, I get bombarded on social media by 10,000 would be Jon Morters and guess what, the campaign for each is diffused by 10,000. The only threat is if a Help for Heroes release a song, and they know it must be abysmal to beat Cowell. Im not sure its important to beat the evil empire music wise, because the singles chart was never that relevant, but if you want to beat it, unite behind one song!
