This book shed a whole lot of light on abusive relationships and what can happen when you continue to stay with your abuser. This book also showed that you can not help a person who isnt ready to help themselves. Its sad the amount of abuse a woman will accept because she believes he truly loves her. A man who abuses a woman may have went through things in his past but that still isnt an excuse to put your hands on the woman you claim to love. Lynae may not have had a perfect relationship with Brandon but you could honestly say that he truly cared for her. Tray on the other hand was a perfect gentleman in the beginning. He truly knew how to hide how he truly acted. Tray definitely needed some help whether he cared to admit it or not. He was crazy!! Lynae should have listened to her friend because she has experienced what she was now going through and was looking out for her friend. Lynae also had plenty others looking out for her and it took a lot for her to finally realize that she needed to leave.
