Yet another amazing video by my equally amazing students this semester! This has got to be one video-savvy batch for sure! The topic assigned to this group is aphasia (an acquired language disorder due to brain damage). Gosh, what kind of crazy lecturer is assigning such challenging topics to his students!?! Oh wait, Im the one... Anyway, this one is unique because it features a (rather romantic) storyline which talks about aphasia in a very different way - it could qualify as a standalone drama! Just watch the vid to see what I mean. Props go to Ibrahim Adham, Firdaus Nozori, Siti Suhailah Fatimah Aman and Amera Afiffah (somebody, do tag her for me please, thanks!). By the way, aphasia, along with many other disorders and conditions, are often misdiagnosed these days, due to the lack of experts and qualified personnel in this field. Oftentimes, we are too quick to label people as nyanyuk or tak betul and even say such things in front of such unfortunate people, when some of them are suffering from other conditions and can actually understand what people say about them. Hope this vid instils some awareness regarding aphasia!
