Yet another bs argument to lower corporation tax rates. Same old song and dance that Reagan and his trickle-down economists used to get America in the fiscal pickle we are in now. Coupled with deregulation of the financial markets, corporations have played loose and free with the economy, severely damaging the middle class while enriching the already disgustingly rich. Excuse me, but corporations were doing just fine when their tax rate was much higher and their were shouldering a much larger portion of our governments expense. Those taxes didnt stop the rich from getting rich and it didnt hurt the corporations one bit, but it helped fund the building of our national infrastructure and helped the middle class build a nation of can-do enthusiasts in their pursuit of the American dream. What we need to do is close all the loopholes that allow deep pocket corporations to move their record profits into offshore banks and to move their business overseas, with government subsidies. The big players have so gamed the system that theyve even got half the voters believing that unions bankrupted us and the filthy rich are our only salvation. I get so disgusted reading crap like this that I want to do a fiscal French Revolution on the big players and see that greed monsters spend the rest of their lives behind bars.
