Yet another study to find caloric restriction beneficial for longevity. There are many of those, and I think the authors of this article should have used a different title. It is not the news that CR extends lifespan in mice, but its definitely good to know that it ameliorates age-related changes in the brain, namely it suppressed the age-dependent activity of 882 genes in the hippocampal region. Hippocampus is one of the most crucial brain regions responsible for memory formation and learning.
