Yiangou Architects are looking for an Architectural Assistant (Part 1) with a passion for traditional, vernacular and historic architecture to join our busy Cotswold practice. You will be an organised and enthusiastic individual, ready to support a project director and be capable of working on several projects at a time. You will have a degree in architecture and familiarity of both traditional and contemporary detailing. You will understand the basics of planning law and how it relates to listed buildings. The ideal candidate will also have experience of working within the high-end domestic sector and a posses working knowledge of the UK building regulations as they relate to private residences. Good communication skills are essential as you must be confident dealing with clients, contractors, colleagues and planners. Experience of 2D Vectorworks would be preferred as would a demonstrated ability to free-hand sketch. Competitive salary, based on experience. No agencies please.
