Yikes!!! Dont look now but we have T.S. Cristobal. It formed about a day sooner than I had coin toss guesscasted. At 11:00 am EDT its located at 23.6 deg N 73.1 deg W, maximum sustained wind 45 mph, minimum central pressure 1001 mb, movement NNW-7 mph. It should not be a threat to the Florida region, other than some large swells impacting the east coast of the Florida peninsula, that will cause dangerous rip currents and some beach erosion. On the plus side these swells should provide for some good surfing for the crazies that like to occupy the same waters as the great white and bull shark!!! As T.S. Cristobal strengthens to a possible CAT 1 hurricane and passes east of the Florida region it will drive some drier air across the peninsula from the NNE-NE and lower rain chances for a day or so. Thats about the last thing I need at my location. But in its wake it could also allow minimum temperatures to fall into the mid to upper 60s in inland rural areas of the north and central peninsula regions for a day or two.
