Yippee! My surgeon just told me that he can finally take the last pin out of my knee! There were six, and this last one is causing me pain, but we had to wait and see how the femur was healing. (the rod in femur is there forever tho).It is gonna be outpatient so he can use his power tools! He actually said it was gonna hurt, but just for a minute! I told him that I didnt believe him! When doctors say, you are gonna feel a little discomfort, it usually hurts, so when the doc says its gonna hurt, I am thinking it is going to hurt like hell! He asked me if I had any more pain pills and I said no, so he said take a couple of aceptemetaphine! I said, I might as well take Pez candy! He laughed. Guess I will be ok - cant be worse than the other surgeries! Glad it is coming out- it tightens up, creaks, etc -feels and sounds like an old door hinge! Told him at least put some WD40 on it! thanks for everyones support through this last year and putting up with my whining! will let you know what kind of weirdness goes on this time at WCA!
