Yknow, in my experience, it seems that people whom are maliciously critical of those around them are some of the most miserable, and generally unhappy, individuals Ive encountered. Often times, their words act as a blanket for their own insecurities, which we all have. The trick is, instead of trying to strengthen yourself, you build your dependency for the shelter youve created, until it becomes a tower that you live in. Alone. As someone who has fallen into that trap in the past, and hopefully left it far behind me, its a trait that has become plainly evident from a mile away. The saddest part is, though breaking free of it feels amazing, there are those that embrace it so tightly that it comes to define them. I just hope you know that the things you say, though Im sure initially well intentioned, can, and do, become like a poison to the people you claim to love and value. Theres a fine line between being helpful, and fuelling your ego at the expense of your friends.
