Yknow it would be good to wake up on a Sunday morning and not be reminded, unfortunately, that some people are irredeemable pricks. Has Labor [I will not reflect on the divided learnings that afflict Labor, for that is really thrown in by Bolt to further distract us from the real issues] The death of anyone fleeing persecution, and particularly children who have even less control over their lives, is tragic. Full stop, but for the likes of Mr Bolt and his fellow crocodile-tearists they are nothing more than political footballs. What, we may ask beyond a capacity for heartlessness, division and political opportunism, do we learn from Mr Bolts and others crocodile tears about 1200 people dying at sea? Where, to take just the most recent horrific act of the Australian Government into account, is the concern about the deaths of 100,000 Tamils at the hands of those to whom our Government forces them back into? Malcolm Fraser is right. The actions of our nasty, collaborating Government and its abuse of our defence forces are redolent of handing Jews over to Nazis. Difficult, important times in which to actively consider what it means to be an Australian citizen.
