Yo, San Antonio legend and sportscasting great Mike Taylor here. Starting Monday Ill no longer be on The Zone in Austin. They didnt fire me and they dont hate me but theyre doing some new stuff (announcing it Monday) and they couldnt do all they wanted to do and keep me on. The new morning show theyre airing sucks but I understand the reasoning. The other thing theyre doing is actually a really good idea. Nothing changes in my approach to the show, its not costing me any $ and frankly, my shows for San Antonio. I was never gonna alienate my huge SA audience for my sparse audience in Austin anyway. My contract expires soon and I had been planning to tell them I didnt think it was working out so the timing of this is perfect. Theres no animosity at all. Good luck to our Clear Channel brothers in Austin. Starting Monday Im back on Ticket 760 exclusively.
