Yoga for Runners: Summer Series at the SOL Breaking down the anatomy 7:00am-7:40am Saturdays during the month of June! Cost: $5/ class or all 4 for $15 Week 1: June 7th- Yoga and the feet: “Everything changes when the foot hits the ground” ...as we say in Physical Therapy. This class workout will place emphasis on stretches for the plantar fascia, intrinsic and extrinsic muscles of the ankle, foot and arch. In addition, we will discover the importance of proprioception, balance and stability within these structures to keep a runner injury free. Week 2: June 14th- All about the Gluts, Hips and Knees: Learn how to unlock the hips, lengthen the hip flexors and strengthen the gluts in todays workout. Week 3: June 21st- A Little Core Please: Create some heat and fire in your abdominals and not in the overused hip flexors that often pretend to be your core in today’s class. Week 4: June 28th- Keeping the Back Healthy: A healthy, happy back makes for a healthy, happy body in running and life! All classes will be taught by Tracy Heck, Licensed Physical Therapist, Yoga Instructor and Pilates instructor. Online registration coming soon!!
