Interested candidates should apply at: usaeop/programs/SEAP/applicants.htm Program Description: AMRDEC SEAP/CQL (Science and Engineering Apprentice Program/College Qualified Leader) – Ages: 17 and above SEAP/CQL, is a Department of Defense initiative, endorsed and implemented through the AEOP. AMRDEC’s SEAP/CQL summer program is eight weeks in duration and is designed to engage students in hands-on activities and student/mentor relationships that encourage careers in science and engineering. This program is designed for students at the high school and college levels, and allows students to apprentice in fields of their choice with experienced scientists and engineers. This opportunity provides students with invaluable experiences for making informed career decisions. Students apprentice with their mentors on mutually agreed upon projects. The students apprentice in a professional research laboratory setting and learn how their research can benefit the Army and the civilian community. Students are treated as research assistants. First-year participants are awarded an educational stipend. Stipends customarily increase for returning student participants.
