Yosemite Lunch Walk 101 Ha! The title above makes it sound like a junior college class. Todays iPhone images are from Ahwahnee Meadow. Its an overcast day, with a 50% chance of a thunderstorm, but so far, no precipitation. The first vertical image is a large oak tree on the south side of Ahwahnee Meadow framing the granite peak of North Dome at the top. The smoke from the El Portal Fire (now 96% contained) has all but disappeared from Yosemite Valley, so what you see are gray skies from the storm front. The second square image is bay leaves, and the third are a variety of maple leaves, all turning yellow and brown much earlier than usual due to the summer drought. Cooler today at 76° and winds WNW @ 8pmh. Let it rain!
