You Are the Temple of God 5 Where is your teacher? From where - TopicsExpress

You Are the Temple of God 5 Where is your teacher? From where comes the voice you hear and follow? Your answer to this question is absolutely important. It identifies whether or not the Lord is your Teacher and the voice you hear and obey is the voice of the Lord. God never intended for His people to be taught by any other but Himself and to hear and obey any other voice but His voice. The downfall of humanity came when Adam and Eve turned away from the Lord and accepted the teaching and listened to and obeyed the voice of the Serpent. The bondage of the Law of Moses was imposed on the people of Israel when after hearing the teaching and voice of the Lord they decided they wanted to be taught by and hear Moses and not God. Today God teaches us and speaks to us directly in His Son, Christ Jesus. But the important truth is that He Himself teaches us and speaks to us within us. By covenant, He agreed to put His law in our minds and write His law on our hearts and be our God who dwells in us. Therefore, we cannot be delivered from the deadness of traditions and doctrines of men, from the judgments of men and accusations of devils, from the bondage and confusion of human philosophy, and from the shallowness of the elementary precepts of the world and walk in newness of the life of Christ without being taught by and without listening to the voice of the Spirit of God within us. The source of your daily teaching and guidance and power to fulfill the will of God for you is from God who dwells within you and from no other person and nowhere else. Jeremiah 31:33-34: “This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD, for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” John 10:4-5: “And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” John 10:27: “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” 1 John 2:26-27: “These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.”
