You Can Make A Difference If You Try - Chapter 2 RECAP: Wind began hitting me in the face over and over again and I closed my eyes for a second, but when I opened them again I was heading straight for the road and into the way of a moving car. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Everything was still. Everything was silent. I lay on the floor with my head facing the pavement. I can feel blood dripping from my facetime onto the concrete. My mind flashes back to the event that had just previously happened. I heard the screech of the cars brake, followed by a long exhaled scream that came from my mouth. I saw myself flying over the bonnet and onto the hard concrete. I heard the sirens whaling away In the distance, getting nearer and nearer. I opened my eyes. Theres a man speaking to a police woman. Hes telling her what happened. There was a paramedic at my side, and before I knew it I was being carted off on a stretcher. I was put in the ambulance and driven to hospital. I blacked out a couple of times on the way there, the paramedic told me. I had to have scary tests taken and lots of blood samples. I asked what was happening but no one answered me. I started to cry and somehow I fell asleep on the hospital bed. I woke up an hour later, and I was very confused to see a nurse sitting at my bed side. I looked around. Why was I in hospital? I tried to remember but I had forgotton everything. I just looked at the nurse blankly and she explained that I had heen hit by a car. My eyes twitched as it all came flooding back to me. My hand was shaking and I put it up to my head where I could feel a bandage taped right across my forehead. I cried and the nurse just rubbed my back and told me that It was going to be okay. I felt a relieved and I lay down and tried to get some rest but then a doctor came in a the nurse had to go and speak to him. I knew they were talking about me, I separately wanted to know what they were saying. I swung my legs round and tiptoed to the door. I was aching all over from the accident but I used all my strength and I made it to the door. I leant on the door and put my ear to it. I heard the doctor telling the nurse that my injuries were very serious. I gulped. Then I heard even more bad news. The doctor told the nurse that I might not recover fully, and that I might not have long to live. I burst into tears and the doctor and nurse rushed in to find me on the other side of the door. They realised that I had heard everything and they stood there quietly, not knowing what to say. I asked them about my head injuries. They said that they were rare injuries and that my condition could have been prevented if I was wearing a helmet. I felt like I had been shot. All those years where I had made fun of people for wearing helmets, all the nasty comments and remarks. This was karma, it had to be. please like/comment, its no fun writing fanfics if no ones reads them:/ part 3 will be up tomorrow, if I get people commenting! - Zoeツ
