(Those of you who graduated in 1985 will remember Nichole Livermore, yes, she’s related to Robert.) --Baer, Max~(2/1/1909 to 11/21/59). World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, who lived in Livermore. He had a gym in Livermore. His son, Max Baer Jr. stared as Jethro on the Beverly Hillbillies TV show. --Murrieta, Joaquin~ (1829 to 1953) A bandit of much folklore. He spent a fair amount of time in the Tri-Valley. Murrietas Well was a hiding place, where he could rest his horses. Old Mexico (the site of Joesville or the Rock House) is said to be one of his headquarters.
