You Will Survive JUDGES 6: 1-24 “And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.” - (Judges 6: 2) When the Midianites continued their attacks against Israel, the children of Israel hid in the mountains and caves. The attacks against them pushed them into a survival mode. Despite the attacks against them, they survived. The battles were meant to finish them, but they didn’t give up. Friend, God says, despite your battles, you will survive; despite the attacks against you, you will survive; despite the things you don’t have, you will survive; despite your health challenges and financial challenges, you will survive; despite the issues working against you, you will survive; despite the conspiracies, disappointments, setbacks, etc, God says, you will survive. Your battles may have come to crush you, but you have what it takes to survive. You may be going through challenges that reduced others, but you have what it takes to come out unscathed. You may face challenges that pushed others into obscurity and extinction, but you don’t have to end up the way others ended up. It may be the same battles that turned fatal, but your case is different from others. Your battles don’t have the capacity to kill you or extinguish you if you refuse to give up. Your battles may rage for as long as they wish, but you will not be conquered or defeated. Beat your chest and remind the enemy that you are a survivor; no battle will consume you. Isaiah 35 vs.10 captures it aptly: “And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” Pray With Me: Lord, I am a survivor; no battle will consume me, in Jesus’ name!
