You all know I rarely talk religion or politics. I read what I can and trust that my government junkies will give me the highlights and I know my ticket to Heaven isnt purchased through a like button... BUT TODAY, I am not happy with our system... My nephew thought he jammed his finger a few days ago, until he woke up the next morning to a swollen yellow and blue hand and was unable to engage the clutch on his motorcycle; he went to the ER, they said, he had a 2 in. fracture and a separation with bone sticking into his skin. The DOCTOR recommended surgery and he followed up yesterday; the HOSPITAL said, we see you are a 23 year old full-time college student, that gets FAFSA and works as much as you can and has been on your own since you were 17, we also see that you have no insurance, your parents have no insurance and that you live off of Ramen noodles, since you have no money for the down payment well be sending you home today... Thank you have a nice day! But wait, heres a number you can call, you can fill out paperwork and they may be able to help. The doctor thinks its bad enough for surgery, but the program probably wont, but its worth a try. THEY SENT HIM HOME needing surgery with a BROKEN ARM, because he didnt have money.
