You all remember all those status messages that everyone copy/pasted all over face book about adjusting settings on your friends so you didnt see certain activity? Such as comments and Liked pages ect.. Well obviously when they update Facebook that gets reset and I think the reason is because they want you to see products that your friends have "Liked". Thats how Facebook is free is product placement. They try to find out what you like and place ads on your page and they want you to try products your friends have tried. Every time we look at facebook there are dozens of little commercials all through it.. just look to the right of your screen for several. So I think changing those settings is a waste of time because by the time you go through all your friends and make that change they will change it and it will be right back..
