You are INVITED! I feel so fortunate to get to know you guys and help you connect and grow deeper in your knowledge and love of the Gospel. We want yall to be a part of a bigger community within the church. Small groups is a way to do that. Our college group should in no way be secluded from the rest of the body. We all need to work together on mission, growing in the love of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) As much as I wish Wil and I could be everything to everyone, we cant. But the body of Christ and all its members working together in the power of the Holy Spirit, can! We want so much for you to grow in Biblical community with people who are a season ahead of you. One on one mentoring can be huge in the life of a believer but discipleship and living amongst each other in community on mission is something that Jesus clearly did. We pray you will follow his steps in being a part of this. Having said this, we are inviting yall to join the church for a night of worship and a night to connect. It is good to know that if you commit to a small group you must be present, available and teachable each week that your group gathers. By joining a small group you arent just going to receive knowledge and direction but also to serve and love the members of your group just like they do for you. Being present is important. You have important things to say, no matter what season you are in. God can use you in group life at FC. We will, of course, still meet on Sunday Nights. We will, of course, continue to dive into the word and seek God together. But being a part of a small group will really lend itself to discipleship in your life. You will be able to see first hand how marriages are grounded in the Gospel, how children are raised in the Gospel and how to build the foundation of your life on nothing but the Gospel. This truly has been on my heart all break long, if not longer. I so much want yall to be loved by the members of FC and to love the members of FC. Its my prayer that a small group would become a tight knit community for you where all members can be vulnerable and real. Its true, theyre your brothers and sisters.
