You are in Biotech, no? Fight for a *DepC man. Go for CS, EC, or EE, the fundas were being given to the freshers. All the Biotech guys nodded. Bhaiya I am EC, and I dont want a DepC in CS. What do I do? A curious me asked. EC? Mug up in your first year. Have a good CGPA by the end of your first year. Then get a project in 2nd year. That will help you to grab an internship in your 3rd year. That will again help you to grab a placement in 4th year. The Success-mantra was passed. And bhaiya what about me? I am from Civil, and I dont think I will be able to study enough for a DepC, a friend asked. Start some extra academic activity. Go for some sports, Id say. It will make a good CV. As my friend nodded, the Funda-God paused. Then after a few seconds, he added, Look, for the CS, EC, EE guys, their CG is their CV, they dont need to take part in extra academic activities, but for other branches, a good CV is required. The Mantras blew my mind, one after the other. I didnt have anything against studies, or extra academic activities, but why do everything for a job? I always preferred learning something for interest, and not for merely a job. I am in my second year now, and dont have a good CGPA. And I am sure I will not get a project by the end of this year, nor a good internship or a good placement in coming two years. Because I couldnt be the part of the system which promotes you to study for projects, internships, and placements. Id rather learn something that I will enjoy. But I know one thing, one day I will be as successful as any of my classmates, because no CG, CV, project, internship, or placement can determine where my life will lead to. *DepC = Department Change from one branch to other.` Credits ~ The Prying Eyes
