You are invited to an upcoming (and free!) event at Parliament - TopicsExpress

You are invited to an upcoming (and free!) event at Parliament House on the 7th of August from 6-7:30pm - hosted by the Pinnacle Foundation. Join our special guest SA Premier Jay Weatherill to congratulate the South Australian 2014 Pinnacle Scholarship recipients Max Cooper, Caitlyn Georgeson and Renee Pope. The Pinnacle Foundation is an Australia-wide not-for-profit organisation that assists disadvantaged LGBTIQ* youth (who are studying) by providing them with scholarships and pairing them with a mentor from within the industry they are interested in working in. This event is to spread the word about what Pinnacle does and who the Pinnacle Foundation can assist, as well as to introduce and congratulate Pinnacles 2014 South Australian scholars. Anyone eligible for this scholarship in 2015 (applications close in October), as well as youth workers, counsellors, educators, straight allies, youth organisations, youth networks, anyone who works or volunteers within the LGBTIQ* community are all welcome - the more the merrier! Pinnacle wants to spread the word about what they do and how they can assist LGBTIQ* youth, and they would love the opportunity to tell you more about it over some free food and drinks on the 7th of August at Parliament House. Feel free to check out thepinnaclefoundation.org/ for more information about the foundation. If you would like to come, please RSVP by email to [email protected] before Thursday 31 July 2014.
