You are not as good as the last job completed until that is you can regularly repeat that which was proposed you know that shot, the one that is your favourite, where everything was just right in timing, space and light. To put oneself in the class of ten best photographers ever to exist is to risk being contradicted by the next customer who is familiar with the likes/dislikes of who they perceive as the ten best. This planet has a large number of fools who would be deceived by that proposal. Possibly the same as the proportion of the class of atoms that is protium, hydrogen ones proportion of 99.98% to its higher state relatives. But not me! Who invented photography and improved the process will always be no 1 to me. You cannot fit them into a list of ten, nor of hundreds, nor of thousands, nor of tens or hundreds of thousands or millions. For the bird in your hand is better than the one in the bush. It seems that as soon as one picks up a camera that person thinks and feels they are the best photographer the world has ever seen.
