You are what you eat! Would you drive with the wrong petrol? Free Stress Management Seminar Undoubtedly, stress is a part of life, but how do you deal with it? Kincumber Gym has teamed up with local expert Chiropractor, Peter Proud from The Chiro Barn to deliver a free seminar on dealing with being stressed out and how it can affect the body. It will be held at Kincumber Gym on Tuesday July 30 from 6:00pm. Kincumber Gym strongly believe in making a positive change in people’s life and this can be achieved by better understanding how to deal with and manage stress so that it does not affect the body for the worse. Owner Belinda Smith believes that “stress can have a dramatic impact on your health and quality of life”. Peter Proud describes health as the body’s ability to accurately assess and appropriately respond to life’s stressors, by teaming up with Kincumber Gym this message can be achieved through greater awareness and education. The Chiro Barn promote the four pillars of health as a way of maximising the potential for healthy living and minimising the effect of stress in our lives, these include; nutrition, exercise, balanced thought and brain/body communication. Nutrition gives meaning to the saying ‘you are what you eat’, you would never but the wrong fuel into your car so why do this to your body? High-energy fruit and vegetables result in a healthy body and mind, giving you the ability to make the correct choices. The list of benefits from exercise cannot be exhaustive, just 30 minutes a day can significantly enhance your health and wellbeing. More so it makes you feel better, sleep better, feel less anxious and have an improved sense of wellbeing thus minimising the stress in your life. Each of us is exposed to emotionally stressful situations in our daily life; how we respond to these stressors will impact on our bodies in dramatically different ways, by visiting the Chiro Barn it is enough to put your mind at ease, its beautiful setting and surroundings. Better communication between brain and body means a better quality of life. To put it simply, the body would work a whole lot better if there were less stress in your life.
